Featuring innovations inspired by the original Pro-Ject 1 turntable that launched our brand 30 years ago, the Debut Pro turntable is convincing in all respects – visually striking and audibly dazzling. Pre-fitted with the Pick It Pro, developed in conjunction with award-winning cartridge experts, Ortofon, gives listeners lively & robust sound that convinces with its wide dynamic range.
Amplifier: MaiA DS3
Nothing has been sacrificed in the MaiA DS3 integrated amplifier's space-efficient design. Taking up about as much space as two hardcover books, it includes Bluetooth streaming, a built-in phono stage for your both MM & MC cartridges, a PC-USB connection for high-res digital files, and a suite of other digital and analogue connections, making the MaiA DS3 competitive with amplifiers three or four times the size. With its 140 watts per channel at 4 ohms it can easily power the paried Speaker Box 5 S2.

The Speaker Box 5 S2 is characterized by its spacious and detailed sound. A 25 mm silk dome tweeter delivers crystal clear highs, while the 130 mm fiberglass cone provides lush mids as well as full-bodied, tight bass.

One thing is for sure. Pro-Ject is adept at making tempting turntables. We’ve always been big fans of the Debut range, but the Debut Carbon really is unusual because of its super-light, super-strong tonearm. It’s a clean, insightful sound that digs deep to reveal all manner of texture and nuance in the mournful guitar fiddling. All the while, the deck keeps a firm grip on the musical structure, with a good level of rhythmic precision.
