Automat A2
The A2 continues the success of our fully mechanical automatic turntables: Simply press start and the tonearm automatically moves to the lead in groove of the record. The automatic components work entirely mechanically, with no additional electronics needed - meaning that they truly do not influence or degrade sound quality during playback! At the end of the record, the tonearm is automatically brought back and gently lowered into its resting position, and the motor shut off.
Fully automatic turntable
The A2 has a fully automatic start/stop with the automatics being completely disengaged and decoupled during the entire runtime of the record. The fully mechanical automatics are engaged when you press start and the tonearm is automatically moved to the lead in groove of the record. Once playing, the automatics are completely taken out of the equation and do not affect the playback quality.
Heavy MDF main chassis with built-in speed control
The new heavy MDF main chassis is made and designed in Austria and carefully hand painted in a luxurious 8-layer matt black finish. It provides a very sturdy base for the sub-chassis and reduces hollow spaces to avoid resonances. Such a massive chassis is very unusual in this price range and the base for natural sound.
There's also no need to change the belt position. Easily change speed with the push of only a single button & listen to your favourite LP, single or shellac.
Factory fitted Ortofon 2M Red
2M Red is an all-purpose cartridge that delivers open, dynamic sound with a slight touch of warmth.
Featuring:
- An improved engine, which provides an increased output of 5.5 mV and an optimized sound reproduction and a high level of sonic accuracy.
- A tipped Elliptical diamond and split pole pins with a copper wire.
- The cartridge body is manufactured from Hopelex, an environment-friendly material which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances.
Handmade in Germany
The A2 is fully handmade in Germany and looks back on decades of experience. Paired with Pro-Ject technology, it sets new standards in automatic turntable design.
