Record Store Day 2014 was - in a word - awesome. Everyone we know had a great time roaming around to a few of their favourite stores and everybody went home with a big bag of loot. In Australia and globally, it's looking like this year was the biggest RSD yet, with a huge increase in sales on the day.
Those tech-savvy few who kept up with us on Facebook and Instagram as well as the RSD Australia official page and Instagram would've heard about our competition with a sweet grand prize - the Debut Carbon Phono USB. Two runners up would also go home with Spin Clean Record Washer Mk II Systems. All they had to do was answer the all-important question: What's the one album you'd rather die than part with?
The winners have been announced. Taking the grand prize is Alex from Southport - you can read his thrilling story of being the first person in Japan to own Arcade Fire's Reflektor here.
And here are our two runners up, Matt and James, looking pleased at receiving their brand new record washers! Time for them to get their vinyl nice and clean.
Keep up with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more big competitions. And remember, there's always next year - Record Store Day 2015 is marked for April 18th. Mark your calendar today. Or if you don't yet have a 2015 calendar, go out and get one just so you can save the date. It's going to be bigger than ever!
